Not too long ago, I did a blog post about two pieces of furniture. They look similar to one another, hence the name Two Sisters. They belong together! You know, kind of like peanut butter and jelly. Well.....I think (key word being think) I have decided to paint one of them GREEN. Not really a dark green such as this pretty thing I found on Pinterest.....
I'm thinking of using a really cool green such as what's on the piece below. Oh1 Em! Gee! Talk about FUN! I am in love with this!!! If I take Pure White and Antibes Green Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan, I can easily achieve this beautiful green. I could even use Provence Chalk Paint® on some of the interior also. Of course, this piece of furniture would look stunning in any color!
This one is a nice green also. I really like the contrast of the dark brown on the edges! I mean I REALLY like the dark brown edges!
Check back for a blog post with lots of before during and after photos of Goin' Green!
Until next time....
I heard angels singing when I scored these two sisters. Seriously! There are a few pieces of trim that need to be glued back on, but overall, they are in awesome shape. Ohhhh and they need a REALLY good cleaning.... inside and out!
My dilemma is what to do with the doors. With the raised cabinet (rectangle glass door), I'm thinking about replacing the glass with a mirror. Something along the lines of this pretty piece I found on Pinterest.
One option for either cabinet, would be to add pleated fabric and wire. Although I would consider the piece below to be more shabby chic, I could get a French Country look using the same style wire, but choosing French Country styled fabric...which would be my preferred route!
Then of course, I could just scrub down the glass really, really, REALLY well and end up with something as beautiful as this piece!
There are many decisions to be made before I can begin. First decision being color! I'll save that for another blog post...but expect one of these sisters to be "green" with envy!
Until next time....
I have spent countless hours making custom bracelets out of old (and new) belts and metal. Of course I use Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan on some of them! I have raided hubby's closet of all of his old belts, and have been known to even raid closets of family members. The older the better!
The BETROTHED bracelet was one of my faves made out of one of hubby's old leather belts. The future groom is in the military! There's a special place in my heart for service men and women. Go USA!
The PRAYER WARRIOR bracelet (which I wear alot!) is my personal favorite, as it was my very first belt bracelet that I ever made. I used my daughter's old IZOD canvas belt. You can't see them in this pic, but there are green alligators on the inside of the bracelet.
These bracelets were made for 2 sisters and their mother. They received them as Christmas gifts and I was told that tears were shed. This is a hymn that their mother regularly sang to them as young children.
Here is another adorable saying from a friend to a friend.

After everything I've been through to get this website up and running...I DESERVE a piece of pie! Heck, I deserve the ENTIRE DANG PIE!!! Sheesh! This is where I would normally insert a picture of a delicious looking piece of pie. Not happening today though!!!
I have tons of projects going on in my store right now. (currently mirrors....lots of mirrors!) If you drop by the store, ask me to show you my latest project. It usually involves Chalk Paint® by Annie Sloan. I will be blogging about some of them super soon!
Until next time.......
